TURIN AND THE SUSA VALLEY
Activity description
An intense experience between history, culture and art starting from Turin with a guided tour through the Royal Pole and Palazzo Madama, typical lunch in a trattoria. Then I cross the Strada di Francia to admire the majestic Sacra di San Michele, the abbey erected between 983 and 987 on the top of a mountain that was the inspiration for Umberto Eco’s book, “The Name of the Rose” which later became the well-known film starring the amazing Sean Connery. This is followed by Susa where, after a typical “aperitif”, the guided tour continues in an unexpected mountain town with its main historical monuments enhanced by modern and evocative lighting.
