GRAN PARADISO NATIONAL PARK IN A MOUNTAIN HUT

A unique experience for real hikers (even beginners). A two-day trek immersed in the wonderful landscapes of the Italian Alps. This package allows you to explore the Gran Paradiso National Park, Italy’s oldest protected area, with an exciting overnight stay in a historic hunting lodge. Among wild trails, glacial lakes and rich alpine wildlife, all in self-guided mode, with details provided on how to access the facility and manage your stay independently.

Day 1

Departure from the meeting point. Trekking route accompanied by an experienced hiking guide, a scenic 2-3 hour itinerary, ideal for all experience levels. Along the way, you’ll admire spectacular waterfalls and the Park’s typical flora. Upon arrival at the hunting lodge you’ll find a cozy refuge with a self-catering kitchen, a basket full of typical valley specialties and bunk-bed rooms. Free time to relax or explore the surroundings. Possibility of short walks near the refuge to observe wildlife such as ibex, chamois and eagles. Self-catered dinner at the refuge (use of the equipped kitchen with gas stoves, plates, cutlery and dishes included). Overnight stay

Day 2

Self-catered breakfast at the refuge. You can choose between different trekking routes.
The first, the Lakes of the Ciamousseretto Valley: a short 2-hour excursion to the suggestive glacial lakes. The second, a trek towards Ceresole Reale: a more demanding excursion of about 6 hours through the Colle Si\u00e0 (2278 m). The third, the route to the Colle del Nivolet (2600 m): for the more adventurous, a scenic trek that is part of our “Wild Trekking” tour (details on request).
• Return to the starting point by the afternoon.

1 overnight stay in a mountain hut in shared rooms with bunk beds and shared bathrooms with kitchen available, a basket of typical valley products, a hiking guide available for a full day, medical insurance, assistance and advice to enrich and personalize the program
